Mommy Awe moment

So I have a 2 1/2 year old who has been refusing to go on the potty.  Well this past weekend we took him to Sea World as one last trip as a single child and to get a break from the heat of AZ....well at the hotel he all of the sudden stood up on the bed and said he needed to go pee-pee and ran to the potty and we set him on and he actually went. Since then we have asked and a few times he would say he wants too but he will sit up there and sing a song then wants down....well last night he finally said he needed to go again and did and then again this morning when he woke up!!!!  So proud of my little man!!!   Maybe this will mean I will only be buying one set of diapers and not two!!!

I love this! DS is showing signs he's ready, too. He actually told me "Potty!" two nights ago and ran to the bathroom, and peed "on" the toilet...he actually peed in front of it because he was standing on a stool and didn't make it in the bowl, but I counted it as going potty on the potty! 

Congrats! I hope I am not far behind you!

That's so great!  I always wished that DS would take the initiative like that.  With those signs of readiness and initiative at 2.5, you should just go for it and ditch the diapers!

Yay!  I keep hearing that it's pointless to try before the child is ready, so hopefully he's ready now for you!!  (Now if only your DS could pass some of that motivation over to mine....)

Peeing in front of the potty totally counts!!!! 

 I was thinking the same....bye bye diapers...sucks I just bought a case but I will just save them...eventually this little man will be in size 6 too!  HAHA!!  We took some extra outfits to daycare today as well as some pull ups so hopefully today goes well there too!  Not sure how absorbant the pull-ups are compared to regular diapers?!?!  Anybody know?!?!?

Ha! I love when little boys do this. We have our boys at my school aim for cheerios floating in the toilet. It's amazing how well it works!
