2nd Trimester

Suggestions for a pregnancy yoga DVD?

I've been meaning to find one since I found out I was pregnant and haven't gotten around to eat. I'm hoping doing yoga/stretching on a regular basis will maybe hopefully help me avoid another c-section.

Anybody have any good suggestions for a beginner?

  • Shiva Rea video has variations for each trimester.  While I am not a beginner, it is explaining enough that a beginner can do it.

  • I picked up "Yoga Mama" from the Crunch series at a yardsale, and I tried it for the first time yesterday. I found it relaxing, with just enough strengthening for me to feel like I'm doing something useful (although I've been a bit of a couch potato since getting pregnant, so take that statement with a grain of salt). And the instructor wasn't as irritating as what I've seen on some yoga DVDs.

  • Its not Yoga but it is a good exercise DVD called Fit & Firm Pregnancy By Denise Austin. I got it at Walmart online for like $10.00! Well worth it.
  • The one that was recommended to me was by Shiva Rea, like a PP said.  Good luck!
