I'm annoying, I know. I usually don't pay much attention to the million Tide posts on the board, but now I've got a question... :-/
I've been using Crunchy Clean for the past 2 months with no issues and just ran out today. Of course, I have diaper laundry to do and wasn't keeping track of detergent running low so I ran to the store and bought a box of Tide... the Ultra. They didn't have the plain/original.
Soo, how much should I use? I have an old (non HE) top loader and hard water.
Re: Tide detergent question (because they aren't asked enough! ha)
This for us as well, but I have to use 2 rinses as opposed to one with other cloth diaper detergent.
I actually just follow the instructions. So if I have a large load of diapers I use up to the 2nd line. It actually says use up to line 3 for "heavily soiled loads" and I don't know what is more heavily soiled than a washer full of diapers I think the main thing is to make sure 1) your diapers smell clean and 2) there are no bubbles in the final rinse. So do whatever it takes to get you there. Good luck!
