Anyone have diono radian rxt

Convertible car seats? We already own the carseats (one of our boys is 20lb!!) but they don't fit in my sedan (comfortably at least). What car do you have? Anyone have a Chevy traverse or equinox?

Re: Anyone have diono radian rxt

  • We have 3 seats across the back of our car (a little BMW sedan, 3 series). Two of them are the Diono radians. The one that is FF is fine (it's in the middle) but the RF one makes it pretty uncomfortable for the front passenger because it leans back so far. It feels like you're sitting on the dashboard!

Behind the driver we have a rear facing Maxi Cosi Priori, and it leaves plenty of room for the driver to sit comfortably.  I don't think I would have been able to fit 3 of those across though.

  • DD is in a Diono Radian RXT RF in our Camry. With the angle adjuster the fit is fine. She is in the center position currently, but we've tested it with her on an outboard position and 2 keyfits, still gives a good fit. DH and I both are right around 5'7" and maybe had to scoot up our seats just a hair, but not uncomfortable at all. The angle adjuster made a big difference for us.

  • We have a Honda Accord and two radians: one in the middle and the passenger side. They are still rear facing and it is tight in the driver and passenger seats. When we turn them forward facing, there should be much more room.

  • We just installed two Radian 120s in my Honda CR-V.  I'm 6' tall, so I need a fair amount of room to drive safely.  We JUST make it with the angle adjusters - but you can't use those until the baby is 1 year old.  For that reason, we kept them in their infant seats as long as possible - they just hit the 30" limit.

  • We do but we're not using them yet. DH installed them in his Elantra to see if they would fit RF and they do but the front seats have to be pretty upright. I have an MKX which is bigger that his Elantra so I assume they will fit fine in my car.
