I work in a VERY casual office and can wear jeans every day (and can't wear capris/skirts/dresses in our lab) - so all I have are casual jeans/pants.
My DH has a dinner this week that is business casual. I'd rather not get nice maternity pants since it's so close to the end and I don't anticipate wearing them again. He just told me about this today ![]()
Any ideas of something I can try out that I could get more use out of?
Re: quick clothing question
This. I've been buying long maxi dresses (non maternity) since my maternity shirts are getting too small and pants/shorts are not as comfortable anymore. Then I totally plan on wearing them after delivery. I tried to find ones that will be easy to nurse in too. But I'm with you, I refuse to spend money on maternity clothes this late in the game.
I like this idea!
You could get a non-maternity maxi or empire waist dress that you can wear again when you're not pregnant. I have several that I got last time and wore when not pregnant.
I also have some foldover skirts from Old navy that aren't maternity. They aren't the most comfortable when pregnant but not too bad.
As for the chub rub, it's an issue for me too. I just deal with it but you could try baby powder or vaseline?
- maybe that's regional slang
It's the problem you have when your thighs touch and rub when you walk.
I bought some men's 6" boxer briefs in the thin, clingy dri fit fabric.
When I wear dresses I just wear a pair of these cotton type "biker" looking shorts that I bought at Walmart underneath...they're super comfortable and the waist band is stretchy so it doesn't bother my belly...I LOVE them, I even wear them around the house when I have no where to go! they're kinda like these in the link below:
