Sick of visits to the doctor/ pharmacy vent arg!

3 weeks ago I came down the strep and was put on an antibiotic. Last week my son got sick with some sort of bacterial infection and we spent 10 hours in urgent care and the ER after a regular appt. I had made for him to get a strep test.  This was the worst day of poor kiddos life and I had to keep from breaking down. They cathed him 4 seperate times and had to draw blood out of two different arms.  They couldn't get the cath to work so they put a bag on him and sent us to urgent care and eventually the ER to try to get him to pee to collect urine for a test.  Well after being cathed 4 times my poor 19 month old had lots of pain when trying to go so this took a good 10 hours and we finally went home at 2:30AM.  All this while he was very sick with a high temp.  After a couple days they finally just perscribed antibiotics without knowing what he specifically had and now he is finally feeling better.  I have now developed a UTI of some sort probably from my antibiotics and have to be on more medication (which I hate doing while pregnant).  I've also been given regular blood tests to test my thyroid for some issue that is on the verge of needing to be treated but i've refused unless I need to. Will this nightmare ever end (i'm missing my un-eventfull first pregnancy)?  I went to pick up my perscription today and they pharamcist asked if we were feeling better (she remembered us)!  I had my regular ob appt. today and my son fought me the whole way in.  All I have to say is thank God for medical insurance i've already met mour family out of pocket expense and I haven't even gotten to labor and delivery yet!  Ok rant over (thanks for reading) and lets hope we won't have to go back till my next appt in 2 weeks!
