1. My SO and I have already come up with a name for a girl -- thought about it before I even got pregnant, lol. But I want to know what you all think of it anyway!
We are pretty set on Lilian Summer-Rain Meeks. 2 middle names, I know, but I love it
2. We have been trying to think up a boy's name as well though, since we don't know what we'll be having. We want "Scott" to be in there, most likely as a middle name. But we are having a hard time finding good first names (
Brayden Scott is my favorite so far. But then there's...
Layton
Ian
Liam
Spelling might change on some of them. Not sure how I'd spell Brayden at all, lol.. Maybe Braden? I'd have to look at all spellings and decide. But basically that's my list so far.
Opinions would be awesome! It seems so hard for us to pick a good boys name Maybe it's because we are SOO wanting a girl ) Although I'd still love a boy just as much ?
Re: Opinions!!
I adore your girl name. Middle name is NMS but still very pretty.
I love your boy names except for Brayden... its been so over done lately.
Good Luck! : )
Girl name: I don't like the spelling of Lilian... I prefer Lillian. The name itself is nice. "Summer-Rain" made me snort into my Coke, haha; that's a little dramatic, I think, but it's a middle name so I can't really judge it. Is Meeks the last name or another middle name??
Boy name: I hate the name Brayden, but I think you should spell it "Braden" if you did choose to go with it. However, of your other names, I love Ian and I would advise you to go with that one! I love Scott as a MN.
1. The girl mn is a bit much and too themey, IMO. But if you love it, then who cares what I think
2. Brayden (and all -den names) is pretty much hated around here, so don't expect a good reception. Personally, Brayden is one of my least fave. It's so clunky. Of your choices, Ian would be my first pick, followed by Liam. Ian Scott is a nice, solid choice.
Lillian (spelled like this) is nice but Summer-Rain is silly, IMO.
Please, pleas no more Brayden's.
I love Ian!
Lillian is nice.
Summer-Rain is ridic.
1. Sorry, but Summer-Rain sounds like a brand of douche to me. Summer is lovely, Rain is NMS but an acceptable name, but together they are over the top.
2. Love Ian. Liam is nice as well if you don't mind the popularity.
Will you be calling Lilian Lily? Lily Summer-Rain is, well, themey, silly.. Not sure, but over the top.
I'm with everyone, all the -ayden names are so, so overdone, and Ian is about a billion times nicer.
Yes, Meeks is the LAST name
I've always wanted a little girl I could call "Lily" -- with no extra 'L' -- so spelling her name Lillian seems a little silly to me. The middle name, I used to want May as a middle name.. or Rose, after my mom. So, Lilian Rose, or Lilian May. And she'd be called Lily Rose -- or Lily May by me !
Opinions on those?
I was afraid Brayden has been used too much, so I wasn't sure. Ian is one that I do love though !! I'll have to run that one by my SO tonight ?
I really don't like Lillian with one L. Lily is still a nn for Lillian. I've never known any Lillys.
Lily May is cute. Lily Rose is WAY too flowery.
Ian is good.
lol about Leeum... OP - I love Lilian Rose or Lilian May (or Summer by itself is even pretty, Summer-Rain does remind me of a feminine product like PP said).
Brayden is way over used - any spelling. Liam or Ian are nice, especially paired with Scott.
Don't like Lilian with one L- Lillian is the correct way to spell this name. It's nice. Summer-Rain gets a big ol' eye-roll from me- way too over-the-top cheesy. Lillian Summer is far less ridiculous.
I like Ian Scott much better than Brayden Scott. If I had to rank your boy names, I'd go Ian, Liam, Brayden, Layton. Layton is way too last-namey for me.
ETA: I like Lillian May a lot. Lily is still a nn for Lillian. Lilian with one L just looks silly and will get misspelled all.the.time.
Lillian with 2 L's is a nice name
Summer is a nice name
rain is an ok name
all 3 together way over the top
Brayden is horrible
scott is nice
ian and liam are very nice
We seem to have very different tastes, so who knows if my opinions will be useful to you, but:
I dislike Lillian (spelled this way) - I am so over all the Lilys and Lilas and so forth. What about just Summer Rain M? I don't love the theme-ness, but I'd prefer that over Lillian and over a hyphenated middle name.
For the boys...I hate Brayden, and Layton just looks odd to me. I think Ian is great. I actually know an Ian Scott. If you like Brayden, what about Brendan? Brendan Scott?
Lillian is very nice! But I find Summer-Rain very cheesy!
Brayden is okay but its in the "aiden" family and that bugs me. But its not the worst of the "aiden" names so I'm okay with it. I do think Braden is best for spelling.

I love Lilian.
Summer is cute. Summer-Rain sounds a bit cheesy to me.
I would go with Lilian Summer.
I hate Brayden. Braying is the sound a donkey makes and the Aiden names are just so.freaking.overdone.
I would go with Ian Scott.

"Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching, and has taught me to understand what your heart used to be. I have been bent and broken, but – I hope – into a better shape.” — Charles Dickens
Summer-Rain is, as others have said, a bit much. As for the spelling of Lillian/Lilian, if you want only one L, then who the heck cares. Whatever, it sounds the same either way
Lily Rose- too flowery. Lily May is beautiful.
I love Ian. Not crazy about the other boy names.
Lillian (spelled this way) is a great name. Summer-Rain is just silly.
Liam Scott or Ian Scott are both good, solid names.
Aww you seem so sweet!
If it's in you and your SO's tastes/personalities to do Lilian Summer-Rain, then go for it. I think it's really pretty, and the names are all legit.
Also, there's nothing wrong with spelling her name Lillian and calling her Lily with one L. That's what nicknames are for (to shorten the name)!
Lily May and Lily Rose are really cute.
As for boys, I actually like Layton a lot. I love Liam, but it's trendy (and would be too similar to Lily, I think, if you had a girl down the road). I also can deal with Ian, but it's too 90's to me for some reason. I don't like any of the -ayden names.
