Who took the 3-hour glucose test??

I just found out I have to go in for the 3-hour test on Friday. Great! I know it may not be anything to worry about, but I'm wondering how you felt after the fasting/blood draws/sugar drink?? I'm trying to decide if I should plan on going to work afterward or if I'll be down for the count! Thanks in advance for your input

I was fine - I ended up driving out of state for a graduation party a few hours after.  Obviously, get something to eat before going back to work though.  One of my GFs did the 3 hour at the same time and didn't feel so hot after though, so I guess it depends on the person.

I felt terrible afterwards (sweaty, shaky, dizzy) until I ate/drank because my blood sugar was down to a 55 at the third blood draw!  I had a head ache until about 2 hours afterwards and felt kind of icky the rest of the afternoon.  I did go to lead my counseling groups later that afternoon/evening, but it was obvious I was not feeling myself.  If I could have called in, I would have but that's just me.  GL!!

I didn't feel any different after my 3 hour test, but I would suggest eating right away. I found out later that my last number was super low, and I'm surprised I didn't feel like crap.

I did mine yesterday.  I felt fine but was pretty hungry afterwards.  I worked the rest of the day then went to rehearsals until 11pm with no problems.

I was fine as well - hungry, but fine.  I also drove out of state shortly after I finished.

I was really nauseous during the 3 hours, but the nurse brought me some oj and pb crackers before I left and I was fine within 10 minutes. You should be fine.

I did my 3hr test this morning and I felt fine just hungry of course. I'm sure you will be fine too. i just feel tired now as if I had a long day lol....Good luck with your test.

I felt ok. My mom went with me to keep me company coz the DH had to work. Luckily she drove coz my sugar crashed on the way home. But have I got some crackers in me I was fine! I took mine on a Monday morning and carb loaded the day before so it helped balance everything out. Good luck! I thought it all was going to be terrible and I dreaded it but it was fine!
