Two showers, duplicate guest list?

Wow I have been off-site for about a month due to moving and now I think I am posting like a banshee. 

Anyway, last week I just finished compiling a guest list to give my friend who is hosting my shower, when another friend let it slip that some other people in a club I belong to are ALSO planning a shower. So I left the club people off the invite list, thinking they wouldn't want to go to both, 2-3 weeks apart. 

Since then I haven't heard anything about the 2nd shower, but it's supposed to be a secret. Am I doing the right thing trying to avoid the duplicate guest list or will people sort themselves out?

I would invite them since it's supposed to be a secret and they'll probably wonder why you didn't invite them to the first one.
