Cloth Diapering

Awesome CD organizing idea - cheap too!

Hey ladies!

Just thought I'd share this great idea I saw for organizing your CD stash. Space saving, cheap and finally I will be able to have a compartment for AIOS, prefolds, inserts, etc. and label what needs covers and doesn't. DH will be WAY less confused with this LO and that will be a good thing. I thought I'd share this after reading the post below about the DH putting a fitted on thinking it was an AIO. :o) My DH has done that numerous times and then grumbled at me when a mess ensued. Hoping this will make his CDing experience easier.

Sorry it's not clicky, I'm on a Mac.

  • I have mine in two milk crates. One is for aios, ai2s, pockets, etc. The other is for diapers that need a cover. Even easier than hanging something.

  • I have mine in a drawer. One row for daytime, one row for naps, and one row for night time. Then we have a container for random stuff but we only use pockets and AIOs so it's pretty straight forward.

  • I'm laughing because I've tried both of you ladies methods, the two baskets on the floor and the drawer with different rows for different types of diapers and DH has failed to catch on to either of those methods! I found them simple enough, but apparently two crates is just too confusing! Ha!

I'm going to make big old labels for the Ikea thingy and see if it works any better. Guess I shouldn't hold my breath. ;o) I didn't love having baskets on the floor (I don't have a shelf for them since our changing table is a dresser) because DD would paw through them and make a mess, so I'm hoping hanging it up will keep things neater. It's worth a shot.

Thank you!  This does work great and I could not keep my stash organized until I used this animal net.  :)

  • She appears to keep her pockets unstuffed. No thanks! I like them stuffed and ready to go. I doubt this would wrk fr those of us who prefer tostore them stuff or use AIOs. But i see it workingwell for a cover/ insert type of family.

  • This would drive me nuts.  All the holes face out in different directions, and the holes aren't super big for removing stuff.  We store DD1 socks in the three hole version, and even that can be a PITA sometimes.

We have a 3 drawer wire cart next to the changing table.  It works great and plus her laundry basket sits on top nicely.  I keep everything ready to go at all times.  It would annoy the heck out of me to have to prepare each diaper as it was needed.

  • I like this idea...wish I lived closer to my Ikea (3 hours away!)
