Okay ladies, I need your help.
I bought a used diaper off a facebook group. When I got it, I just threw it in the wetbag until laundry day. That happened to be yesterday - so I washed it with my diapers, dried it for one cycle on medium, and let it air dry to finish. When I got up this morning and went to stuff/put away my diapers, I heard the dreaded sound... the crinkle. It's a BGE, so the PUL is completely sealed in - so I started seperating the layers to see if I could feel it delaminating, and the PUL was sticking in spots to the cotton inner, and the outer shell completely rubs against itself - it's not tacky at all. Completely delaminated.
I contacted the seller, she insisted it was fine when she sold it, I could have a partial refund, or return it, but she'd be hesitant to take it back since it didn't have a problem when she mailed it. She has 14 other diapers that don't have problems that were bought at the same time, and when I said it could have just been bad PUL, that I bought a delaminated diaper before, she implied it was my wash routine. I bought that NEW diaper delaminated, I never washed it.
I'm starting to get defensive. I don't think she intentionally sold me a bad diaper or anything, but I feel like she's blaming me for it. And while I don't want to blame her, I don't think I should still have to pay the buying price. Would it even be possible for a perfect diaper to completely delaminate in one normal wash?
And how do I rectify it?

If you want your money back then just file with paypal for a defective item, it will rule in your favor. Why was she selling just one diaper if it wasn't defective...and she kept the other 14? Yea...sure.
And that's the risk you run when buying AIOs used. I try to buy all of my AIOs new because I can't tell what the heck is going on with the PUL!!
My guess is that she knew something was bad with the diaper, but didn't know exactly what it was. You don't get complete delamination like that from one wash.
I'd insist on a refund, and file a paypal dispute if she doesn't give it.
She did actually sell a bunch of them, but kept several too.
I finally thought about it, because it was getting ridiculous - I asked for a $4 refund off a $16 purchase. I figure I can seam rip the soaker off and use it, and use the shell as a swim diaper.
She very begrudgingly agreed to it, saying she would do it in the good nature of the swap and that she hoped this was the end of it... it's taking everything I have not to lash out right now at that response.
