Maternity pics!

I'm sure this post has been up once or twice before, but what's everyone wearing for maternity pics?? I want to choose something that will be as flattering as possible, so naturally I think... black long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Boring!!!

In addition to flattering I would think you would want to wear something classic. Not necessarily something boring but you don't want to look back in 10 years & think your clothing is overly trendy (and consequently out of style).

agreed keep it simple and timeless.  my photog also suggested tops should be more form fitted to highlight your bump.

From what I've read when looking up maternity pic ideas, the best thing to do is stick with solid colors, form fitting clothes, either long sleeves or a tank top (tshirts cut off your arm), and either jeans or yoga pants. My plan for when I get my pics done is black yoga pants and a black tank top but that's mostly because I want to have pics of my belly both covered and uncovered and my yoga pants are the only thing I have that don't cover my belly, plus the tank top can be easily folded up to reveal my belly without looking weird. Don't think of the clothes as boring, think of them more as timeless. Besides, your clothes aren't the focus of the pic, your belly is! :-)

I plan on wearing 2 different maxi dresses, one in solid coral and one in a blue/white print. both are super flattering and hug my belly enough to show off my bump, but are loose enough that I'm not scared to see the end result and think that I look huge elsewhere lol!

I have a one-hour session that is going to be taken on a horse farm - I decided to keep the 'look' summer-y and fitted, as I've heard that form fitting clothes are a must for these kind of shots (FTM here).  I have a maxi dress, a shorter sun dress, and white skinny jeans and a top that I'll be wearing.  I think I'll go barefoot. 

Where are your pics going to be taken?  Long sleeves may be out of place if they're going to be taken outside in the summer?  In a studio - no problem
