Head Pain

I have had a headache going on 4 days now. I know it is my allergies as it is mainly sinus pressure. I have tried zyrtec and tylenol and it doesn't seem to be helping. Yesterday I had a mother of a nosebleed that lasted almost 30 minutes. I checked my blood pressure and it is normal. I can't walk around work with a hot compress on my head all day not that it really helps me anyway. Oh how I miss my Allegra.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Head Pain

  • Give a cup of coffee or a can of Coke a try.

My doctor said regardless of the "cause" of the headache, to try this first. They even told me to try it before I try Tylenol or allergy medicine, and I have not yet had to take any pain medicine.

    Good luck!

  • I second the coke idea. I was also told that I can take Claritin because Zyrtec never works for me. I had a mother of a migraine for 3 days due to allergies, but mostly you have to wait out.

  • I had a horrible almost migraine level headache for two days until my chiropractor appointment yesterday (primarily for sciatica). I told him about the headache and he adjusted my neck. I felt kinda weird for about an hour: it seemed like my nose and ears were both draining. Then the headache just POOF disappeared! I've had a lot of chiropractic adjustments, a bunch specifically for headaches, and it has never been that amazing!

Thanks ladies. I wound up going to the dr and they gave me a prescription for tylenol with a codine in it. Since I have GD I can't have the coffee or soda. I tried the chiropractor too but it didn't seem to help. I used to have an amazing chiropractor that could magically fix anything, but since he got a new billing person i couldn't afford to go to him anymore and I have yet to find one that can do what he did.

She thinks it is my migraines coming back. I used to have them all the time and when I went on zoloft a few years ago the stopped but since I decided to go off of it for the baby here they are again.

All the issues I have had this pregnancy the next 3.5 months can't come soon enough. I want to her to stay where she is till she is done baking but I can't wait to not be pg anymore.  I know that sounds harsh but I have been just miserable since day 1.
