FYI: my first week of healthy living is already annoying me.

counting calories SUCKS.  not from a general annoyance standpoint either, just from a "F, i was eating THAT MUCH before?"   haha.   

 

i did go spinning ........ once.   so i have to up my game in the gym department this week.   sigh.    

 

 ETA: I just got my bloodwork for metformin, so probably starting that soon too.  i will be a size 2 in NO TIME!  ;)

    I have "forgotten" to take my Metformin for like 3 days now because I hate it.  But it does make you hate carbs.  Spinning is fun.  I got the padded butt shorts because the first time hurt so bad.  GL!

    I count calories as well. it's not too bad once you get going, but yea I had a WTF moment when I saw how many calories I was eating. Good luck with it!

    Trying for a baby since 4/10

    DX: Infertile 6/11 Me: LPD, all other blood work clear.
    DH: low sperm motility,low count.
    Met with RE start clomid + TI + IUI 5/12= IUI cancelled due to positive Cystic Fibrosis carrier test. DH tested Neg. for Cystic Fibrosis,

    6/12 Clomid + TI +IUI=BFN 8/10 IVF consult.
    IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.

    IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14

    Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20 = BFN

    IVF# 3 7/13 BFP ended in chemical pregnancy

    9/15 diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance gearing up for IVF# 4 Dec/ Jan

    I hate it too.  But NQB is right metformin will make you hate carbs so it actually really helps with weight loss because you can't really eat fun stuff (which is good!)

    ughh, well i am trying to eat lower 'bad' carbs so yes this is good. but if i get really sick on it i am not sticking it out.  i am hoping just serious diet changes/exercise will help me reap some good benefits of blood sugar stabilization that Met would anyway.

    I just started counting calories last week too. I downloaded the My Fitness Pal app and I LOVE it! It's so easy to use, has a ton of foods in it's database, and comes with a scanner so you can easily count the calories. It lets you add exercise too and incorporates that into your total count. 

    I've only been under my goal 1 day out of 7 :(

    I have been on Metformin for about 1 1/2 months. I basically have to force my self to eat because I am never hungry. I had a upset stomach for about a week and a half, then it went away. I don't crave sugar or crap anymore. A week of the runs is worth the benefits. I also gained a few pounds right after I started it. Now I am down 10 lbs.
