Wonderful gifts from my school community!

I teach 8th grade.  We had graduation Friday and our last day today.  I am also leaving my school to be a mommy after three years with these same kids.  Lots of my year-end gifts have been cute things for baby - mostly stuffed animals that the students have picked out.  One mom also knit some little baby hats.  My principal (who just had a baby this weekend) bought me the Boppy off my registry - our first registry gift!  And the mom of one of my cheerleaders gave me a baby food cookbook and her Beaba Babycook machine.

 

Everyone has been so wonderful, and I'll miss being part of such an awesome school community!  Any other teachers getting baby gifts from students?

Not yet, but I am pretty sure the room moms are doing something. They sent an envelope home to everyone and the next day one of the girls was telling me how she is going to buy me something for the baby. I teach K, so they are not too good at keeping secrets!

I did! I teach kindergarten and several of my parents gave me cute baby girl clothes and blankets and things like that. I really didn't expect any of it, so each one came as a surprise!

How sweet! My staff through me a shower. I don't have a home room anymore, kids can be so nice!

The staff is doing something I know-- I saw a note in my coworker's mailbox about a collection in the office for myself and another pregnant teacher. I was pleasantly surprised

One of my kids brought me a cute candle wrapped in a piece of fabric. We have a week left so we'll see what happens.
