Video monitors

I know there have been a lot of posts about these. We have a Summer Infant Slim that is dying after one year. We want a new system for our DS and the twins-to-be.

1) Any comments on the Motorola with 2 cameras? Mobicam? Summer infant system? 

2) My husband is thinking of setting up surveillance cameras on a network. What did you use as a monitor if you did this? Laptop? phone? Does it kill your phone battery?

I have not bought ours yet, but I think we will be going with the Motorola one.It seems to get good reviews.

Love our motorola! Works great. Pans, zooms and picture is good both day and night.

we have the motorola one. bought it to replace our summer infant one that also died after a year and a half. LOVE the motorola one with two cameras. has a great two way talk feature and a tells the temp of the nursery. my only complaint is that the battery life is not long at all.
