baby's sex??

does anyone know the sex of the baby yet? my girl friend is exactly one week ahead of me and had an ultrasound last week and found out she is having a girl- I am going tomorrow to have an ultrasound @ 16 weeks and I'm SOOO anxious but nervous that we might not know the baby's sex yet.... Has anyone else had extra ultrasounds early and had luck finding out??

From the research I have done the baby's genitals are fully developed around that time, so good luck!!!

We had an ultrasound at 16 weeks. LO's legs were crossed the whole time, and she kept flipping over and hiding. We didn't find out until the anatomy scan at 21 weeks.

It is possible to find out the sex that early, but I wouldn't count on it. Even now, I'm still being prepared for a boy. I know it can happen. My little sister was a boy the whole time my mom was pregnant, and then surprise! A girl.

I am 15 weeks and 3 days and I am going in for my ultrasound to find out the sex at 16 weeks and 1 day which is this Saturday!! So excited!! But its with smething called "womb with a view" where you can make an appt to find out the gender once you hit 16 weeks. Doctor offices don't do the ultrasound with the gender until around 20 weeks i think, but I am not for sure on that

My Dr. did an u/s at 16 wks and Boy (very obvious) - then again at 20 wks Boy again. He does a very quick u/s each time I go in.

I had mine at 16 weeks and 6 days and the tech clearly saw that it is a boy. Good luck.

Found out at 16w5d for DS #1 - but he wasn't (still isn't) shy about showing the world he's a boy. We found out for DS #2 last Friday (19w 2d) - again not shy. I think it depends on their position at that age.

I'm sure they could tell you if the baby cooperates and flashes you :-) But I wouldn't go out and buy everything pink/blue until the anatomy scan (actually, don't run out and buy a ton of anything if you are having showers, you'll get everything you need :-) ), I would be too nervous! I made my u/s for 18weeks 5 days (this Thursday!) and I'm still wondering if I made it too early :-)

I should add that right before I got pregnant I threw my friend a beautiful little girl shower and when we got the announcement of the baby's arrival, she introduced Caleb... So this is something I fret about :-)

I just had my first us last Thursday at 18 weeks 1 day and I found out I'm having a girl!!! I think you can find the sex out at 16 weeks it just depends on how cooperative the baby is and what position he/she is in. Good Luck!!
