Trying to Get Pregnant

Ok, I suck at temping - need tips

This is my first month temping and I suck at it.  I wake up anywhere between 7-10 and I've had a UTI getting me up 3+ times a night, sometimes within 3 hours of waking.  My UTI is finally on the mend, so hopefully that won't be a factor anymore.

So, what do you ladies do?  Set an alarm?  Is there a time that works best for you?  Do I just have to suck it up and get up before DD even though I want to savor every sleeping moment?  TIA

  • I set the alarm on my cell for the same time each day.  On the weekends I'd temp and go back to sleep.

  • When I'm temping I set an alarm for six and take my temp, scribble it down or text it to myself, and fall back asleep until whenever.

Yep, set an alarm at a time that is usually BEFORE DD gets up.  That is what I do.  Mine is set for 4am, b/c I can never predict what time DS will wake up .  But, it takes about a minute to temp, and my therm saves the last temp, so I don't even look at it until I get up later.

This. Except mine is set for 5.

    Me too, except I'm 6:30.

  • I just took my temp when I woke up.  I could always get a shift.

  • I temp whenever me and DD happen to wake up for the day. So far I've been able to see a temp shift each cycle, which is all I care about. My chart is definitely not as accurate as it could be but, so far, this method works for me.

I temp every morning at 5:15. That is the earliest time I have to get up during the week so it keeps my temps consistant. I just set two alarms on my phone. It took me a month or two to get good at temping.

    This is me too.

And me three. I just roll right back over on the weekends and go to sleep.
