I am so sick of this constipation . . . literally. It makes me nauseous 24/7. (Which I realize could be m/s, but it just feels different.) My stomach is churning and gurgling all the time, hurts all the time, etc, etc.
So what are your tried and true tips? I've been taking milk of magnesia to no avail. Should I add a stool softener? What else? TIA!

FIBER GUMMIES!!!
I don't have to worry about puking them up, or drinking a large glass of whatever...
They make me gassy, but I'd rather be gassy than clogged up
Water, liquids, fruit and veggies after dinner and all during day, walking.
What worked for me, 2 glasses water first thing in morning, high fiber cereal bowl, and few grapes or any fruit, then walk or exercise. I tried stool softeners, but they hurt if you don't drink really lots of liquid with them and take them early not late in the day.
I am 5 weeks now and alternate between constipation and diarrhea!
I was miserable and in so much pain from constipation. My daily regimen is now:
- 2 colace (1AM/1PM) per day
- 1 cup high fiber cereal for breakfast
- 1 cup prune juice at night
- At least 80oz of water per day.
This has helped me get things moving and also helps me keep them moving.
ive been through this and am on the other side now!
here is what i did...
first i stopped the zofran. i realized the constipation made me more nauseous even on zofran.
milk of magnesia + colace (up to 3x/day)
steel cut oats (i actually am convinced these did the trick...they are insanely fiber heavy)
TONS of fruit.
coffee. {my first at all this pregnancy}
