I'm usually a walking billboard for Old Navy, but I'm looking for something a little nicer for my shower and maternity session. What stores have you ladies had luck with? Feel free to share links/pictures of your shower dresses. TIA!
I have had tons of luck at Ross. They have a maternity department but my favorite dresses are empire waist style out of the reg. size department. Still really really affordable. I got jeans, a dress and a shirt there for $35.00.
I got my baby shower dress at Motherhood and I love it! I'm going to break it out again for Hub's and I's 1 year anniversary dinner coming up. I think it was just under $40 and WAY more flattering than most dresses I tried on.
Please note that it is NOT maternity (I just went up in size to accommodate my new-found boobs) and I'm usually not a Target-clothes shopper. But I was there and it was cute and I'd just spilled Chinese food all over the dress I'd been PLANNING to wear to my shower. I got sooooo many compliments, even from DH, who is not a big complimenter. Loved it so much I also ordered this one, but haven't received it yet.
I am an Old Navy model too! I love their clothes. For my shower I tried some of their dresses, but I just felt like a tent... I think it is just me. I think some pregnant girls look great in dresses. I wore white capris from old navy with a coral colored top from ON.

Motherhood, H & M (if there is one near you) Target, and I have bought a few maxi dresses that are not maternity that look great and i get the nicest compliments! Remember the empire waist is your best friend!
I wear all ON during this pregnancy, but none of their dresses looked right on me. My shower dress is the same one that pp posted a picture in with the pink& black from motherhood maternity- I wore it to my students prom and it was so comfortable!! I have also found some nice dresses at Target- one is a nursing dress so I can even wear it after pregnancy!

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. A dress at ross will cost you between $10 - $20. Just choose an empire waist / stretchy fabric dress and they usually look better than most maternity dresses from maternity stores. The best part is that you'll probably be able to wear it again after the baby is born. Good luck!
Re: Shopping Help
I also live in ON, cheap easy and cute imo. I love pea in the pod for dressy items. These are super cute!

I'm the pregnant one in the middle (haha):
I randomly found this dress at Target:
