My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy.  Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.

    Yup, it took a lot of mongering to scour the rule book for that one, then finally find a post to stick it to you guys.

    You should change the "we're a supportive group" to include the "if we like you" clause.

    yes, a giant meanie moron (apparently) who has stated facts plainly (without any name calling, either, mind you). And since those facts pointed out that one of the regs is clearly violating the TOS of the board, I've been attacked. Super. Hugs all around.

    I have yet to see anyone tell me why, if I'm so malicious, I haven't just reported the post. Nobody is even contending the point - I'm right, and the post would be removed if it were reported. I haven't done that (though I'm sure framing me looks like a nice option for some of my new Feb 2012 "friends"). In fact, with 400+ views, it seems I've actually done Lawren a favor - her solicitation has more views than any other post on this page. Nobody can seem to justify why I would tell her that her kid was cute yesterday, either. Could it be that I'm actually not here just to stir the sh*t? That maybe there were some gross overreactions?

    Eh. Good thing I don't hang my hat on my internet friends. Then I might be more torn up about this.
