27 month DS sleep help?

I think he is convinced he needs to be in our room since DD is. He slept pretty well in his crib/ room before she came, but now it is impossible to keep him in there without him screaming. He was in his crib, but last weekend we put a twin sized bed in there instead since he started to try and climb out while screaming. DH does the bedtime routine of bath, books, songs, and lays down with him. He sleeps from 8pm-12am and then cries until we get him or he opens the door and comes to our room. He ends up in our bed. Both DH and I are exhausted from night feedings and now this. I should add we had a very easy transition with DD at first, but two weeks ago he got sick and has been jealous and clingy since then. That's when the sleeping issues really got geared up. Any insight or suggestions? I am so lost as what to do.
