soooo grumpy

..granted there is a lot going on. We are moving to Canada during my 7th month (me first, husband second). DH needs to learn a second language in short order and land a job (which has so far been difficult). We have to decide how he will immigrate, make the application, find an apartment, find interim insurance to cover the 3 month wait for Canadian care, find prenatal care (having trouble, very few doctors take late pregnancies in the city where we have to move), and find a place to deliver.

Still, I feel like I should be able to keep things together better than I am. I've had 4 explosive, angry, crying fits in the last 7 days. How are you guys keeping it together?

Re: soooo grumpy

  • I'm taking it a day at a time. sounds too easy i know....but I was stressing out over so many little things at would be happening months from now that I decided to focus on the shorter term and what I could control right now. Now that doesn't mean I'm not thinking about stuff at all that will happen a month or more from now....I'm just not letting myself get worked up over it.

    1. DH has been having a rough go at work and I'm sick of his complaining but I need to be supportative. 2. I'm the co-chair for the daycare that my LO attends and just found out yesterday that the director has been put on stress leave for the next 3 months and we are in the middle of moving our daycare to a new location and starting an afterschool program. 3. While I was gone on mat leave last year they laid off a girl in my office and I've picked up all her files when I got back (and then some...) so I've been super stressed at work too. 4. I've been horribly sick with MS this time and have had terrible headaches that resulted in a couple trips to the ER to manage.

Not sure I'm doing that good of a job keeping it together but know that you're not alone!

what province are you moving to?

  • You are not the only one.  between the stress and hormones I don't even know who I am at times.  As for moving, what provence are you going to? maybe I can help.  I live in Ontario.

  • Thanks for responding guys :) I'm happy to hear I'm in good company. It sounds like you both have your plates full. @Caryn - it sounds like things are insanely busy for you. I appreciate the one-day-at-a-time advice. I really do need to keep that in mind.

We are moving to Quebec. DH is in law - but has trained in common law, so we have a few small job obstacles he needs to clear. He is looking for other possible jobs though. We are very excited for the adventure. I should keep that in mind when I start to stress out.
