Birthday party themes?

My LO will be 1 yr in Sept and I'm already thinking of his party Stick out tongue

Does anyone have any cute theme ideas? The only one I can think of that is not generic is Noah's Ark. I'm sure there are others in planning mode. Thanks!

    Ours is a whale/ocean theme. I heard about someone doing sock monkeys, which I think is fabulous.

    I say go with something your LO likes or something you think it cute.

    DS's party is Saturday, we are doing a Sesame street theme.  I'm not going overly crazy with it, just sesame street cupcakes, some napkins and balloons, and i got adorable reusable favor bags and stuff from Target dollar aisle for all the kids to take home (there's only 5 other little kids besides DS)

    We're planning a kite/let's go fly a kite theme at the park.  My favorite one I've seen was an aquaintance who did a paper airplane theme.  If I didn't know her personally, I would steal that idea b/c I LOVE it.

    We are going with Turtles in a turquoise, lime and orange theme. I am trying not to go over the top but there are so many cute ideas to check out.

    Alex is having a Dr. Seuss party.   I love planning parties and go over the top with carrying out the theme.  

    I did the Hungry Caterpillar for my older guy's first birthday because he seemed to like the book.  Plus the kid loved to eat and no matter what we gave him, he was still hungry!  Big Smile

    McKynlee's is going to be an Ice Cream Cone theme!! She shares a birthday with her Great Grandpa, and they both LOVE ice cream! (he loves to share it with her!)  The colors are hot pink, bright orange, and bright green. I've already bought one outfit for her to wear in her pictures, and I'll be making her a color coordinated tutu! I'm also going to do matching party hats for her and Grandpa. Undecided if I'll make them myself or purchase them. We'll be doing a ton of homemade ice cream, and we'll have a cake too....probably an ice cream cone :) I'm probably going over the top...but its her first birthday. I can't help it. I've already bought gifts! I got a SCREAMING deal...spent $17 for both Fisher Price items combined. :)

    I was originally doing a "picnic in the park theme," with red gingham, ants, kites, watermelon, etc. That morphed into just a "watermelon" theme. I'm making hollowed out limes with jello and a watermelon shaped cake, red and green balloons. I'm still using red gingham for the decor.

    We are doing a monkey/zoo animal theme becuase my little guy just adores monkeys.

    Target? Lol...I did the same thing (if that is what you did). I wish there were sales like that all of the time :)

    DD is having two parties this summer.  We're doing a beach theme for one and a tea party theme for the other.

    We are doing a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" theme for DD and when my DS turned 1, we did a "Woodland Creatures" theme.

    We're doing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Reasons are:

    1. LO stops no matter what when it comes on and plays the Hot Dog song

    2. I got a smoking deal on supplies on clearance :)  They changed the design of the Clubhouse suff so the out design was closed out. 

    3. He really loves his Mickey Mouse plush

    4. I think its cute, both baby & little boy too
