Baby Girl Names - Final 3...Thoughts?

I was going to make this a clicky poll, but apparently I suck at posting and it won't let me create one and then post it.

So here are our final 3 baby girl names with possible middle names behind them. My last name is Brown. What do you all think?

Payton (Elizabeth?)

Kate (full name Katherine Quinn)

Parker (Elizabeth?)

I have to agree with Roxy. Payton makes me cringe. It's far too trendy and just not feminine or attractive sounding at all.

Parker is also very trendy and masculine to me. Not a fan.

Kate or Katherine is lovely. Simple and classic. Go with that.

I like Kate! Classic but not trendy. Also, it's my sister's name (minus the Quinn, but including the last name :)

I like Payton best but prefer the Peyton spelling.

Kate is classic and pretty but seems a little bland with your last name.  Could it be a nickname for something more unique?

If I got an e-mail from someone named Parker, I'd assume they were male.

I like Katherine Quinn.  As a Katie though I would say call her what you name her.

I like the flow of Payton Elizabeth, but both Peyton and Parker are becoming VERY popular.  I know 3 Peytons and 5 Parkers born within the last 2 years.

    Kate

If you only plan to call her Kate, and never Katherine, I think Kate can work as a stand alone name. But this is coming from someone naming their kid a nickname, Leo.

Not a big fan of Quinn, I would do Kate Elizabeth or maybe Kate Parker.

I love Katherine Quinn! When she's older and starts to care, she can go by Quinn if she wants something different or Kate which is classic, Katie which is fun, and Katherine if she's feeling elegant.  I just love this name and it gives her lots of room to play around!

I really like Katherine Quinn but Kate Brown is kind of a boring name [sorry! but there's going to be 100's of other Kate Browns out there]. Parker Elizabeth would be my 2nd choice. They are all cute names though!

I love Kate and I think Peyton is cute too.  I really, really dislike Parker for a girl.  I realize Peyton was originally a boy name, but enough girls have it now that I would not assume gender, where as I would 100% assume that Parker was a boy.

Kate (Katherine) is the name we chose, so that's my fave of your three.  Payton and Parker do seem trendy to me.

As a Kate/Catherine myself, I like the name Kate or Katherine Quinn. I think it's nice. But with a boring one syllable last name myself, I find Kate Brown a little bland.

What if you called her Katie?

I vote for Kate. I just don't personally like gender neutral names though, although they are pretty!

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback!!

We are leaning heavily on Katherine and calling her Kate. DH and I want something common and somewhat traditional - I have a unique name and HATE it, it's been a thorn in my side to spell, explain, etc...my whole life.

Payton will probably have to stay the way it's spelled because DH is a huge Chicago Bears fan and adores Walter Payton...silly I know, but I don't have a preference either way so he gets his "a" spelling.

It is interesting to see what people think of when they see each of the names. Nothing shocked me or was something I hadn't thought about (with the exception of naming her just Kate rather than Katherine) so that was good.

Thanks again and keep 'em coming if you have an opinion.

I like Katherine Quinn best, it's very classy, very feminine, and it'll grow up with her.

Payton Elizabeth flows well, but Payton is too trendy for my taste.

Parker Elizabeth also flows well, but I think it's too trendy, and I just don't like Parker.

Parker and Payton are such a different style as Katherine/Kate. Unisex names aren't my style, so I vote for Kate, but I guess I'd also ask what you think about future kiddos. If you have a second daughter and named the first Kate and the second Parker, I'd definitely assume that you had a girl and a boy. Just something to think about.

Since Payton was my top choice for a girl, and I am having two boys I say Payton.  And I love Elizabeth with it.

I like them all but this is my order I would vote for them in:

    Payton, Parker, then Kate!

I love the name Payton I was going to name my little girl that but then we had a friend that named their son that. And I am having a boy so we liked Mason for a boy. So bye bye PAyton for us. But I love the name! Parker is adorable. Parker Elizabeth sounds super cute! Kate is just short and cute and not too popular around here(not sure if it is in your part of Illinois). Good luck hopefully I have helped a little!

Damn, why all the hatin' on Kate Brown?! Yes, it's simple, but it's classic. Brown is my maiden name, and I still mostly go by it. My FN is simple as well, though somewhat unusual. I like having a simple name. It's strong.
