Face Wipes

DS (14 months) has allergies to soy and peanuts...we think he may have another allergy because his face, specifically the skin around his mouth is always breaking out.  We are trying to figure out what it causing it.

We usually use a warm washcloth to wipe his and his twin sister's face after meals. But, I think it is irritating his skin even more. Any suggestions for wipes? would you use regular (for sensitive skin) baby wipes? Thanks!

Re: Face Wipes

  • I would just use water.  Anything else will probably irritate the skin more.

It could be eczema.  My son sometimes gets patches around his mouth when he flares.

  • Thanks, I do think the washcloths are irritating him more. I wonder if I can find something softer to use with just water. Although, I do think someone mentioned saline wipes on here once before...

  • Try viva paper towels. They're really soft & doc told me to use them when dd had a really bad diaper rash because they are so soft.
