Movement/Scared

Hello all,

 Well I am 17 weeks tomorrow and last week I felt distinct kicks twice and flutters. This weekend I have not felt anything. I suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks less then a year ago so I am ont sure if I am just being a scaredy cat. I had an U/S last monday and they looked great! My girls had great heartbeats and were growing great! Should I be scared or am I driving myself crazy??

I don't think you should worry. When I was rignt around that point I would only feel flutters every once in a while. Sometimes a few in a day but sometimes a week would go by before I felt something again. Totally normal! I am sorry for your previous loss.

The movement will be erratic for several more weeks.  It's very common to feel some movement then not notice much of anything again for several days. There were times with both pregnancies I would feel movement then not notice anything again for at least a week.

The babies change positions so often that your perception of movement can change from day to day.  Just last week,  I felt some really strong kicks on my right side;  this week it is back to gentle kicks more on the left side and lower belly.  Try drinking some orange juice or even a soda then lay on your left side for a long while--you'll probably feel something, but they may both may be facing your back which makes it really hard to feel them.

Thanks all, I laid down and relaxed and then I felt something I know it is early and I should not worry.. THank you for the support

i didn't feel movement until around 22 weeks.  if your placentas are anterior, it could be blocking the kicks.
