Please update! I know you are on the west coast.....hope it went well!
My appt went well.. The RE is very nice and actually runs the whole dept so I felt like I was in good hands. She did a pap (I was due for one) and an internal ultrasound (everything looks good-no tumors or anything that should not be there). She told me I am going to ovulate on my Left side this month. She said my amount of follicles is average for my age. Then I got dressed and we talked in her office. She wants me to start taking baby aspirin, Omega 3 and Coenzyme Q10. She ordered an SA for dh and an HSG for me but I will have to save some money for that (my cost for both those things is over $500). I also need all the usual blood tests which I am doing on 6/9. She said after all the various test results are in I will meet with her again to discuss options. She did mention oral meds as well as injectables and asked how I felt about the possibility of twins occurring. So I guess I still have hope!
PS I had my blood drawn yesterday for the FSH and got my results back today... 8.3 Up from a year ago (7.5)

It is really unfair that even the diagnostic testing isn't covered. You shouldn't have to pay so much. Best of luck as you move forward.

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Yes we can do that..his tests are only $77. He has Wed off from work so I just asked him today if he could do it then since the lab we have to use is 20 mins away and the hours are 7-3.. He is thinking about it.
I agree! And you know what is REALLY irritating.. $100 worth of REQUIRED blood tests are for STD's... I understand the merit of such tests but if they are required they should be covered by insurance. I just want to pay for the tests I actually need.
She suggested 1200mg/day. In your bottle, how many mg's are in each pill? Just wondering how many I am going to have to swallow to get that high of a dose.
I feel ya on the STD testing - she had me do mine right away. Glad everything went well for you!
Really? I wonder if your PCP ordered the STD tests if it would be covered as preventative care? It really doesn't make sense.

I got mine at costco, 1 bottle is 100mg of coq10 plus 0mega 3, tthey are huge giant pills so I got another bottle from costc which is only 60mg of coq10. They are much smaller like advil size.
I was only taking 600 a day though sothat wasn't too bad but to double tthat would bee hard at one time. are you goin to spread them out aver the day?

darn tablet I can"t edit my previous post.
anywho, I read somewhere that you can get them at GNC or other health food stores so you might find them with more mg per pill. Let me know if you do because at that rate I'll run out of he others in about a week!

I take 200mg x 3 times a day. I just buy the Nature's Bounty brand at my Kroger b/c they are usually buy 1 get 1 free there.
