I'm just starting to think about cloth diapers with this next baby. I don't know a lot about them because I used disposables with my DD. I heard from a friend that the Flip and inserts are great. Anyone use those? What do you think? Pros/Cons?

Re: New to CD...Flips and inserts?
Since you started this thread I'm going to tack on one additional question... does the exposed PUL next to baby's skin bother anyone? Or is it one of those no biggie things?
MY JOURNEY AS A SINGLE BF-ING, CD-ING, BABYWEARING MOM
I love flips! They work great for DD!
That being said, different diapers fit babies differently. Most people love BG 4.0s and I did for awhile, but now that DD has long skinny legs, I cannot get the legs tight enough and they always leak.
I would either do a diaper trial or buy a few different diapers that you think you'll like and use them for a bit before buying a whole stash.
We use Flips during the day and I like them. We use the stay-dry microfiber inserts, haven't tried the organic ones.
I like that you can re-use the cover, and that you can use just about whatever kind of insert you want in it.
I like the flaps at the front and back, I think they hold the insert in place a little better than other covers I've tried.
I guess my one con would be that they sometimes don't contain breastfed baby poo very well.
