You would be incorrect in your assumption Karma.

 

I will be filing in early July.  I have decided to stay off the board. I peeked a couple of times on my phone in the last few weeks, and again today to find this.

 

I no longer care to b*tch about my husband or his children any longer. And that?s all I was doing. It?s never ending and all I have been doing is focusing on the negative things that I will never be able to help or change. It?s time I move forward and focus on the future and positive things.  So I?m turning more to my personal support team ? my lawyers, my counselor, parents, and a close friend who are giving me great, honest and healthy support.

 

My new job is going exceptionally well - thank you to those who wish me well on this. And I?m putting my energies toward my DD, making plans for our life adjustment, a possible move closer to my job this fall and trying to keep as peaceful of a home as I can until my husband moves back to Texas. (Yes, he has told me that he will not stay here and will move back if we divorce).

 

I am doing surprisingly well. Now that I am purging toxic people from my life, and I am focused on what I truly need to do, I feel like a weight has been lifted and I absolutely know this is best for me and DD. As tough as it is, I feel like I?m beginning to get my life and happiness back.   

 

I?ll update you at significant moments in the process, and I may have a few questions for you when it comes to mediation and determining the CO.  That will be the toughest part for me, and I may need some advice and insight on what to do when my emotions and fear take over. As they do from time to time when I think about custody and visitation of DD. This will be the one piece that can potentially make this a difficult childhood for DD and I want to make sure I do all I can to do right by her.

I'm glad to hear you are doing alright.  I check the board often to see if there are any updates.  Sometimes divorce can be one of the best things you can do for yourself. With mine, it was an enormous relief and I've never been happier.

I'm glad things are looking up. It sucks that this is the way things had to go, but it sounds like you are doing a lot better no that the big decision is made. I hope things go smoothly, and look forward to your updates. And if you need to vent you know where to come.
