I had my growth u/s today bc dc was over 10 pds at birth... well, this new baby is on track to be another 10 pounder at term. ugh! So next week I will be talking induction options with the obgyn. I don't want to induce but I also don't want to go through delivering another 10 pder- it was really tough on me and a long recovery.
Just had to vent. why do I have to grow such big babies? I called dh and told him that he had better come home in an amorous mood tonight bc we will be getting it on every day from now on to try to bring on labor naturally. ![]()
Re: NBFR- looks like another 10 pounder
Oh man. My son was 9 lbs 11 oz and 23 1/2 inches when he was born. When I was pregnant with my daughter the Dr watched my weight gain like a hawk. I was having ultrasounds at every appointment!! Thankfully she was only 7 lbs 15 oz (still kinda big). Now I feel dumb for complaining about how big my son was!!
Good luck with getting natural labor started!!

Do you have GD? I know that can impact the size of a baby. They predicted J would be 10lbs but he weighed in at 7.1
FYI...I was induced and he still took 5 days after that until he decided he was ready to move out of my ute.
Here's hoping DH can help a sister out. lol.
Thinking of you every day!
No, no GD with either this one or dc. That is one of my fears- an induction that just won't take, and then maybe leading to a c-section. I really don't want that!!!
Thanks everyone for your supportive thoughts!
if you don't want to put a time limit on it, hold off on them breaking your water. there are tons of ways to be induced, including a foley bulb, and pitocin, both of which can be held off or "restarted" in the morning after a long day. breaking your water puts you on a clock of needing to deliver within 24 hrs...
anyway, best of luck to you!!
Holy moley that is crazy. How could you deal with that!!! What big twins! How long did you go?
My next apt is on tuesday so we will see if anything has changed. I am keeping dh busy.
Thanks everyone for their support!
