    We are doing a cake smash shoot the weekend before her party.  At the party she'll get a slice of cake.  Hopefully we can avoid a big mess the day of (though i'm sure the grandparents will make an issue out of not seeing her smash a cake?ugh)

    Ev got his own little mini cake. The main reason was just that he can't have any milk products still, so we had to make him a cake and frosting that didn't include milk or butter. If he had been able to have milk, I would have just given him a cupcake like everyone else was having.

    I am torn. I want to make him a healthier cupcake since I still don't want to give him much sugar but I'm sure DH will tell me to stop being a control freak so I may just make him a cupcake with much less icing than the others.

    SS- I plan on making a whip cream pie with straw berries.  I think he'll like it better.

    Ok maybe a small shortcake but I don't know.
