Re: S/O BFing still - clicky poll

  • DD and I nursed for 5 months.  She has had a lot of medical issues surrounding allergies, and although she initially improved with an elimination diet, the allergic symptoms and absorption issues ended up coming back and were worse than before.  We switched to a prescription formula that is hypoallergenic.  She is finally thriving.  She is no longer in pain when she eats, and she has become a little ray of sunshine!  I spent a lot of time crying when we switched to formula, but I know that I made the right decision.  Like the pediatrician said, "Formula was created so that babies like your daughter could survive".

  • We are still breastfeeding "exclusively" I guess as in no formula but we have started doing some solid food in addition to breastfeeding.  I love it and hope to continue until she is at least a year.  My only issue is I would like to have anothe babe sooner rather that later which is difficult with breastfeeding obvi.

  • I'm in a group that a lot of people are in now but it isn't listed.  No formula (nursing/BFing) but also feeding solids so not EBF

  • He gets a bottle of formula 2-3 times a week at the daycare. I'm consistently just a little short pumping-wise and don't have the energy to go nuts trying to fix it. He nurses all weekend fine, so I think it's just a pumping issue.

This is me too.  The nursing is still going great just can't seem to pump just enough for the little bit more.
