School issue resolved

Finally. DH was able to meet with the principal on Friday and talk about this last name issue again. Not sure where along the way the principal changed his tune, but he admitted they were wrong and they should have looked at "those" papers when DH brought it up. Um, or maybe when you got a call and letter from a lawyer too? Whatever. It's fixed, SS is back to writing his full last name. Jerkface principal.

This is our guess too. It probably took awhile, but I doubt he can keep a letter from a lawyer shoved away in his desk for no one else to see.

lol *sigh* this is only pre-k. He will be in this building through 6th grade!

You read my mind! I was in the middle of posting something to you last night asking WTF was going on with this, and then I got interrupted by a diaper and I forgot all about it. haha! I'm glad this ridiculous issue is resolved. I'd still be pissed at the school and the principal though. Next time anything comes up with them I think my first course of action would be a letter from my attorney to them and the school district, if my first request goes ignored like yours did for so long. Makes my blood boil!

That's great! I too was wondering if/when it was going to be resolved. Did you end up getting the media involved? I know your husband is in politics, so you weren't sure you wanted to go that route. Glad you have one less thing to worry about
