June Birthstones

If you got jewelry with a June birthstone, what birthstone did you get?  My DH did a very good job and got me a necklace and ring with a Pearl and Diamonds.  He did a very good job today.  

My favorite present was actually getting up and going to church as a family because we do not usually go.  He is worried about how loud DS will get.  DS was very well behaved.  He got a little cranky and we gave him a bottle and he was fine.  Then we went out for breakfast.  I have to laugh because we drove separately, but was very happy because I actually got to go shopping by myself afterwards.  However, I didn't find anything I wanted.  I was looking for jeans and a dress for a summer wedding.  I came home and he gave me my necklace and cards.  DS and I took nap while DH made food for DS and starting grilling out our supper.  Afterwards, he gave me ring which was a total surprise.  Plus, he bought ice cream from Dairy Queen for dessert.  I am very happy and surprised at how he made me feel very special.  Now, I am really worried about Father's Day.

Oh, DS cut his 2 top teeth today.  He cut his 1st bottom tooth on Valentine's Day. 

 I am sorry to all the Mother's who did not get anything especially a card.  It certainly would be nice to be recognized for all that you do and make you feel appreciated for being such good moms!

We have done pearls for everything so far, but if I get any of the mom necklaces or rings or whatever that you put birth stones in, it won't be a pearl because pearls are way to delicate.  And won't look great sandwiched between 2 peridots

I'm seriously confused about the June birthstone. I've been wondering about this. Is it two for June? Pearl and then the purple stone?

I plan on getting something with alexandrite(the purple stone) since his name is Alex.    I just haven't decided exactly what I want.

So far the things I've bought have had pearls. I like pearls better than Alexandrite but I'm sure I will get DD some Alexandrite jewelry to wear since it's more durable. Pearls are just so pretty though!

The ring I got has an Alexandrite in it.. It's very irridescent like... kind of a teal/purplish.. I'm not a pearl kind of girl.. feels too mature for my style.. glad DH knew that when I picked out the ring. )
