Ezra vs Dominic?

My husband really likes the name Dominic and we both love Ezra, although it seems everyone has an opinion (and not a very good one) about Ezra. Any opinions would be appreciated!

I'm going to say that it totally depends on your last name. I don't really love one a lot more than the other. Maybe I'd be more likely to pick Ezra.

I like both names, but if I had to choose one to use myself, I would choose Dominic... I feel like (for me, at least) Ezra works better in theory.

Agreed. Dominic was on my list until DH vetoed it.  I have never been a fan of Ezra.

I've never liked Ezra, I don't know why.  I guess it's kind of awkward to say.  I really like Dominic though.

Same here but I have a coworker who used Ezra - I hated it at first but it has grown on me some.

I really like both names.  What about using one as a middle name?  Ezra Dominic or Dominic Ezra.  Saying them both out loud I think Dominic Ezra flows better.

I agree with this. Biblical names are becoming more and more trendy these days so eventually people that don't like Ezra will come around. Personally, Dominic is our future boy name so I prefer that but I do like Ezra in the MN spot.

I'm not a fan of Ezra, but I really like Dominic.  We usually lean more towards uncommon and unpopular names but Ezra just doesn't do it for me.  I think the A at the end makes it feel femenine, but that's just me.

I really don't like Dominic, though I am not sure why.  I have disliked it since I was little, and the kid's name on Kindergarten Cop was named Dominic. I guess I just thought it was a dumb name. 

I do, however, really like Ezra.

I'm not crazy about Dominic at all...but I looooove Ezra...its in my top 3 running for a boy!
