Water Anyone??

I am really worried about my water intake...which is not alot!  I did not drink any water before I got pregnant...I know very bad...and then in the first few weeks I drank a lot but now, I can seem to stomach it.  It makes me so neautious.

Do any of you ladies have some suggestions on what I can do to get it down my throat?

  • I've always been a huge water drinker, but sometimes it seems to induce my vomiting. I find sipping water all day, rather than gulping, helps.  Maybe you can try some crystal light it in or something?

  • I've always consumed a lot of water in a day - recently, though, it makes my nausea worse too. Not fun.

    I have found, for me at least, it's easier to drink when it's *really really* cold with lots of ice. Also, a squirt of lemon juice is helping me drink more without feeling so sick.

    Lots of ice and fresh lemon wedges...sometimes I crush fresh mint leaves in as well.  Small sips all day will probably help! :)

    Could you try putting a little bit of lemon in it?  I like water, but it helps to switch things up sometimes!

    I used to drink a ton of water every day. Room temperature, plain water.

    Around week 5 water became an absolute no, so I tried a bunch of things and the most consistently okay combo was that neon green powderade mixed with water and tons of ice.

    Since yesterday, I'm back to water. Yay! It has to be cooooold, but so much better than the past 5 weeks.

  • You can get the little packets of flavor at the grocery store to add flavor, or add in cucumbers or lemons or limes.  You can buy sparkling water if that helps too.

    It will get easier.  I usually give myself a goal, like finish a bottle in an hour and then I can watch something stupid on TV guilt free for 20 minutes.

    I have been having a hard time with water too. As long as it is very cold I can handle it. You should trying cutting it with juice to help get the water down, this was something my doctor suggested.
  • SAME HERE! One of the things I've found that has helped me was using those "Mio" things from the store in ice cold water. Sadly, ice cold water isn't good for the vocal chords (I'm a singer) but at this point, I know that the water intake is more important, seeing as I'm not singing right now. ;) I hope you find something that helps!!

    I was a huge water drinker before and even up till last week, I couldn't get enough ice cold water. Now I can't stomach it. I tried putting lemon in it, doesn't help. The only thing I can drink is cranberry juice or ginger ale.

  • Add some lemon to your water or make yourself one of those fancy waters they serve at the spas.  Also, eat water rich fruit like cantelope, watermelon and grapes.  It's not the same as drinking water but you get a lot of fluids that way.
