  • Hurray!! I'm online at the right time :-)

Things are going well here I guess - 6 days until my next appointment which would get me over my loss milestone so I'm really, really nervous about it. Am feeling really sick all the time which is a good sign I think? Analysing and over-analysing every little thing.

    1. What is your job?
I'm an Executive Assistant to a Director of a University here in Scotland.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?
I'm feeling so terrible all the time that all I want to do is sit on my couch in PJs. I have absolutely stopped having any sort of life and haven't seen my friends for weeks. I'm actually partially hosting a bachelorette weekend next week and I have no idea how I'm going to manage! (Obviously if this all works out it's all worth it, but it's just a bit overwhelming right now. I feel really guilty that I'm struggling and really annoyed with myself for complaining - ever - since I really am so grateful, but this is hard)

Milestone: We get to hear the heartbeat tomorrow! T&P for a successful appointment are greatly appreciated!

     Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? I am an Account Execute - sell Professional Hair Care products to retailers.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? My workout routine. I had a pretty intense, regimented workout. Enjoyed spin class, and really anything that got my HR above 165+. Trying to tame it down to 140 HR is TOUGH!!! Definitely the hardest adjustment above everything else!

My appointment went well, and we saw a beautiful heartbeat.  I'm measuring 1 day behind where I thought I was.  So, today I am at 8w3d.

    1. What is your job?  I'm a manager of medical staff services for a physician staffing firm.  Long title! haha

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?  Well, giving up Red Bull, but luckily I was doing that before we got our BFP.  Also, trying to deal with the complete lack of energy.  We just finished moving and the house still isn't put together.  I have no energy to do anything at all, and I'm so grateful that my DH has been handling everything for me.

  • I have another u/s next Wednesday! Please send lots of thought's and prayers...if everything is still going well, we will be past our latest loss milestone!!!

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? Accountant

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? I have to second what someone else already posted...Relaxing. I have to constantly remind myself that "whatever will be, will be and I am doing everything I can to be as healthy as possible with this baby!" It's tough.

  • This is my first time checking in.  I'm due 12/31 with baby #2.  I've had 6 losses with the latest be 10w.

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests? I have a follow up u/s appointment on Monday.  They think we were just a couple of days shy of being able to see a heartbeat last Monday.

Milestones or new symptoms: None, mild queasiness off and on all day.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? I'm a nuclear reactor engineer.  For the most part it's a desk job, but we have a refueling outage during 3rd trimester.  It's not going to be pretty stress-wise.  We're already working out a deal where I man the home base.  One of our other engineers was pregnant the last time, did that and it worked out well.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? Shiner just put out there summer beer "Ruby Red" (which is awesome) the weekend we found out.  DH said he'd save a few for me to have after, but it won't be the same in January.

  • Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests?

  • This is my first time on check-in.  I am 7 weeks today and my EDD is 12/27.  I have had 3 m/c.  My first was in November of 2005 at 10w 3 days when I lost my baby girl (who was a twin).  They determined the reason was problems with umbilical cord.  I then m/c in September of 2011 at 8w 4d  the determined cause was detachment of placenta (which I didn't know could happen that early on).  I also m/c in December of 2011 at approximately 4 1/2 weeks, they weren't sure since we didn't even know.

I don't have any tests scheduled except my weekly doc appointments.  I am considered moderate-severe risk so I have to be seen once a week.

    1. What's your job? High school teacher

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? Worrying about the coming weeks and just waiting to bypass each previous m/c week.  I think I will feel better after I get past those dates.

  • Hi everyone- I'm new- first time checking in!  :)

I am due 12/1/12 with baby #1.  My husband and I experienced a loss in February at 6w4d. We became pregnant less than 2 weeks later and are now 10 and a half weeks along.  I am also a stepmom to a 9 year old girl. Happy to see this check in and read about everyone passing loss dates!

     Milestones or new symptoms:

We had an appt today and heard the heartbeat for the first time (175 BPM- yeah! Go baby!).  We also saw the baby on the ultrasound, and I was shocked- nothing like before, where it looked very much like a little flashing light.  This time it was definitely a baby in there- and one who was stretching, kicking and waving at us!  My husband saw the eyes too.  I loved how baby was on his back and right away turned his head and looked right at us.  Surreal!!!!!  I was SO NERVOUS for the appt due to the prior loss, and honestly think I will feel this way until the very end of the pregnancy.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job?
I used to work in quality assurance for a marketing company but was laid off 2 months ago due to downsizing.  My DH and I decided I wont be going back to work at all.  I was super sick from week 6-9 and am just now able to conduct more of a normal day to day existence- so I wouldnt have been much use at work anyway!  I hold those mamas to be who work stressful jobs and put up with the nausea, fatigue, etc as absoulte heroes!!

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?

At the risk of sounding like a total lush, I LOVE wine, and miss it like a dear old friend! HA!  I could care less, since I am growing a baby and am super thankful and feel very blessed.  But I definitely miss my wine the most!

  •  Milestone: I feel like every Tuesday when I am another week pregnant to me is a milestone. It feels good to be moving along and still pregnant! I don't have an appointment until May 23rd.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? I work at a University in Admissions

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? I guess just not having as much control over my body.

  • How were your appointments this week? A-mazing. DH almost missed the u/s, but we have the prettiest little blob ever. I saw the h/b and immediately said, "And THAT'S the good stuff."

Milestones or new symptoms: I don't know where to put this, but I've been sick with something for like 4 weeks now. Already been on a round of antibiotics, but still have coughing and nasal congestion now with pleurisy which feels like a cracked rib. I hate people who complain about sickness, but I'm SOFREAKINGTIRED of this.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? I work in food research R&D. Love what I do!

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? Honestly, medications. I really could use some of the good decongestants and NSAIDs, but it's worth the discomfort. :)

Milestones or new symptoms: 10 weeks today so I am a quarter of the way there. 1/4th or 25 % done. Yay!

     1. What's your job? I am a SAHM. I was a CNA before DD was born.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? Giving up my Coca Cola. I love it and I miss it. I know that I am allowed a certain amount, but I never can just stop at one. So I had to give it up completely.

Milestones or new symptoms:  No new symptoms - just tired and hungry... sometimes I worry that things aren't going well because I am not having any huge symptoms:(

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job?  I am an event and wedding planner.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?  At first I thought the hardest thing was going to be quitting smoking... but that was so easy!  The biggest change at this point is the the distance I can run.  I used to do 3 - 4 miles a day.  Now I am running 2.5 miles 2 - 3 times a week and doing the elliptical the other days.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job?

Director of the Housing, Community Development, and Planning Department for a city

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?

The most difficult thing has been getting used to feeling like crud all the time, I'm not complaining but it is a challenge.  Also, because of my previous losses my OB/GYN has instructed me not to run, and with the nausea and fatigue I think I've exercised twice in the past month.  My body gets squishier by the day.

  • how were your appointments this week?
i wasn't listed in this but i had an appointment this week. It was mostly good. I got to see the baby with a good heart beat. Idk how many bpm.  My Dr did do a breast exam and was worried about a lump so i have to get a mammogram so i am worried about that. My dr asked if i wanted to be on progesterone to help just as a second back up it wont hurt no bad things it can only help so i thought yes anything to help but it makes me hella tired and i have to take it every 12 hours.

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests?
again i dont know when my appt is but i have to have a mammogram which is just scary to think about.. also my scary week is next week. when i lost my last at 9 and 1/2 weeks. so i just want to get past that.

    Milestones or new symptoms:
lots of morning sickness. before it was just feeling like i was going to throw up now it is actually throwing up. mostly at night as i change for bed and dh is in the shower.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? I work helpdesk. I fix peoples computers.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?

not complaining about why i am so tired. Usually i will complain when i feel bad and let people know but since i am not out yet i dont want people to know so its oh im just tired oh i dont feel well it must have been something i ate. I also am having problems making dinner. I dont know what i want because im not hungry, also the idea of raw meat makes me gag.

  • Congratulations on making it past your loss date.  I'm anxiously awaiting 14 weeks.

I scheduled my NT scan for the 22nd.  I'm 40 so I'm a little more nervous this time around that something will be wrong.

    QOTD

    1. I'm the assistant operations manager for the federal court.

    2. I'm not sure.  If we're talking like physical type stuff my exhaustion level is off the charts.  If we're talking mental, I've really had to learn to reign in my type A personality as that and pregnancy just don't mix very well.  Giving up and letting go and knowing what will happen will happen is very hard for me.

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • Hey there! My first time on check-in. I had a loss in February. At my 8.5 week ultrasound they confirmed a missed miscarriage - blighted ovum. I went through the miscarriage naturally and waited until 10.5 weeks for it to happen. I waited one full cycle and I am back in the saddle again. Due 12/24/2012 - which is ironically the same day I had my first positive pregnancy test last time - 12/24/11. I have had my first ultrasound and saw a heartbeat - which is further than my pregnancy ever progressed the last time!

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests?
My second ultrasound is next Friday  May 18. I am scared to death that after now seeing a heartbeat, it will all be taken away from me again. I just want to be excited but I am my defenses are up full force.

Milestones or new symptoms: No new symptoms - I have dealt with all day sickness, heartburn, and exhaustion for the last 2 weeks.

    1. What's your job? I work as a teacher assistant in an elementary school. I have my teaching certificate now and am hoping to have my own classroom next school year.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?
Definitely wine. Not an everyday drinker but definitely a go out to eat and have a few glasses. Miss it. Caffeine is missed as well but is not that hard for me.

  • If this is your first time on the check-in, please introduce yourself and tell us your EDD, a little about you and your losses.

I am due 12/11/12.  I am a self-proclaimed geek who loves to read fiction and watch action and horror movies.  Before I was preggers, I loved wine.  Thankfully, I can still indulge my second addiction, caramel.  I got pregnant for the first time in September 2011 but miscarried on October 30th at 6 weeks.  I am so thankful to be over the hump with everything going well thus far!

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests?

I just had my ultrasound on Tuesday and am so happy that everything is looking great!  Baby had a strong heartbeat of 173 bpm!

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job?

I work as a Nursing Assistant - Registered at a long term care facility.  However, my doc placed me on a 20 lb weight restriction which apparently means no direct patient care - work was not happy with me.  I'm fairly certain they are now looking for *any* reason to fire me.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?

So far, not too much has changed besides my diet.  Obviously, I have had to give up my wine (not that I was truly indulging while TTC) and my all-day sickness usually does not let me enjoy my foods for long.  I am trying desperately to increase my intake of fruits and veggies and stay away from processed foods.

  • Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests? Finally got the date for our first ultrasound, next Tuesday! I'm so nervous. I'm scared this will be another blighted ovum. T&P please!

Milestones or new symptoms: Morning sickness has gotten better, which freaks me out. Still tired and very sore boobs, so FX.

Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests?
I have an appointment tomorrow. I am hoping the bleed from last Saturday has cleared up, the baby has grown appropriately, and that the heartbeat continues to be strong. So nervewracking!!

    Milestones or new symptoms:
I had a couple bouts of strong nausea this week. Still tired and sore boobs.

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job?
Preschool teacher at an International School for now. Providing all goes well, I will take next year off. I can't think about if it doesn't!

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy?

Trying to eat healthy has been very hard for me. I have had a lot of aversions to any vegetables/fruits really.

I also have been constantly stressed about miscarriage, but I guess that comes with the territory.

    #2 due 11/28/14

  • Anyone have any upcoming appointments, tests or T&P requests? My appointment went great yesterday! We saw both babies and both heartbeats that were healthy at 140s and 150s! They both measured 9w1d which is a bit ahead! They still appear to be mono/mono so that makes this pregnancy high risk. I'll start seeing a specialist in 8 weeks.

Milestones or new symptoms: We're now down to a 15% risk of a m/c

    Question(s) of the Day:

    1. What's your job? I'm the visual manager at a women's high end clothing boutique.

    2. What's the hardest/biggest change you've had to make for pregnancy? I haven't made that many changes yet.. but with twins on the way there will be a lot of changes!
