It's almost like one of my taste buds is swollen and infected or something.  It hurts, really bad, and I have no idea what it's from.  I have a call into my family doctor, but I'm pretty sure she's going to tell me to call my OB, who is probably really sick of hearing from me.

I get those when I eat certain things, especially powdered sugar or onion rings.  They are like canker sores, but they hurt like a sonofabitch.

yea I have gotten those before, similar to a canker sore, but wouldn't hurt to follow up with a doc about it.

I get those a lot.  Someone once told me to "cut it off with nail clippers."  I was like WTF?!

I had one of those swollen taste buds last week.  Wonder if it's a pregnancy thing?  I thought it might be from too much greasy food.  Anyway, it cleared up on its own in a few days.

I call them "irritated taste buds" and get them every once in awhile. They go away after a few days.

You can gargle/rinse with salt water and it will help it feel a little better.

Don't cut it off! Some people do, but I imagine it's 10X's as painful!

My tongue has been bothering me lately too! At first I thought it was because my allergies have been terrible and I'm sure I've been sleeping with my mouth open. Thought maybe it could be getting dry in the middle of the night or something? Either way it hasn't gone away and it's such a pain to eat stuff!

Am I the only one who grew up being told those were called lie bumps, because you get them when you tell lies?

At any rate, I seem to be getting more of them since becoming pregnant.
