We're going camping for Memorial day weekend & I wanted to order some Avon Skim So Soft (it's safe to use on pets so it'll do double duty for me & the pup) but I just wanted to make sure it's ok to use while pregnant. Anyone know?
Now I would assume so I don't know for certain but I watched a video from the bump that as long as bug spray uses the word Family on it like family size it's safe for infants b/c it's safe for all ages. I read that if you spray Listerine on you and your clothes it keeps bugs off, try that before camping and if that works.
We use Deet free spray for our family. It doesn't last as long so we have to reapply often but I feel more comfotable using it. Here is a list of Deet free products:
Popular insect repellents that are DEET-free include:
Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Insect Repellent
OFF! Botanicals Plant Based Insect Repellent (oil of lemon eucalyptus)
I'm glad you brought this up. I work at a summer camp and bug spray is a must. I will add this to my list of questions for the OB. I go next Friday, so I will try to remember to post what she says.
Thanks ladies. I found something on pintrest that is a bug catcher and I'm gonna try to do as well but I'd like to have a spray in hand in case. I usually get eaten alive so it'll be nice to have to protection.
Thanks for this thread. We are also taking a trip in July to a lake cabin and I was concerned about getting eaten alive by mosquitoes since I normally do. I'm going to double check with the Dr, but this is a great start.
