Spotting...going in for an u/s tomorrow

I have been having light brown spotting (no cramps) since Sunday evening. I called my doctor today and they told me to make an appointment for an u/s tomorrow. I expected them to say this is not unusual and to call if anything changes and I must say that suggesting I come in scares me a bit more. Hopefully tomorrows visit will reassure me that everything is okay.

It's not unusual BUT, always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to that sort of thing. T&P for you!

Lots of docs order an u/s as a matter of course with spotting.  Don't let it stress you out, as brown spotting can indeed be completely typical.  Good luck tomorrow!

I had lots of brown spotting and my u/s sound was fine!  Try not to worry too much!

I spotted at 5 wks and they called me in for an US.. everything went fine last week.  She said long as your not cramping and there is not bright red blood you are ok.

Thanks for the support everyone. We went in today for an ultrasound and everything looks good. Saw and heard the heart beat. We are very thankful!

I had bright red bleeding almost like a period around 3 wks pregnant and then again around 5.5 weeks pregnant. I am RH- and got the rhogam shot. Turns out, it might have been from an orgasm( not from sex)...and I just saw the baby dancing on the u/s today at 9 wks 3 days and the heartbeat looks great...so even if it is bright red, there is still hope!
