A/S Scan

My OB told me to wait until 18 weeks to get my A/S scan. I have it scheduled for next Tues 5/15 when I'm exactly 18 weeks. With my insurance, I have to go to the hospital to get them done, so I could do this Saturday, I would be 17 weeks 4 days. Do you think that would make a huge difference? I would like to give my mom and MIL an u/s pic in their mothers day cards. I haven't had one since 6 weeks so I'm really anxious to see my baby and to see what it is..

At this point, I don't think a couple of days is going to make a huge difference.  Some OBs schedule a/s for sooner than 18wks.

If your OB says to wait until 18 weeks then you should wait until 18 weeks. 

ETA:  Or call them and ask them if you can go 3 days earlier.

He did say I could go earlier if I wanted to at my last appt but he was worried they may not be able to determine the sex and he knows I really want to know. After seeing that many of you found out so early, its so tempting to just go a little early

Honestly, I would wait.  Can you go the next Saturday when you'll be 18 weeks and so many days?  If you really want to know the sex than I think waiting another week is a good idea.  But that's just me.
