There is a concert that DH and I would LOVE to go to.  It's Carrie Underwood.  She doesn't come through our area very often, and we would have the best time.  The problem?  She will be here December 14.  I am due December 22.

I know I shouldn't get tickets.  BUT I WANT TO SO BAD!!!

Get the tickets . If you have the LO early maybe a friend could use the tickets?

I was pretty comfortable throughout my pregnancy with my first, and I still don't think I would've wanted to go somewhere where I would've had to either sit or stand for any undetermined lengths of time.  I'd skip it that far along, honestly.

what pp said. I would get the tickets. You can always sell them or give them away.

i think if i was you, i would still buy the tickets. Absolute worst case senario is you find someone to buy them from you if you arent able to go. thats just what i would do

As much as I would LOVE to see that concert, I have to agree that at 38-39 weeks along it's probably the last place you'd want to be. Hopefully she'll go on tour again (or maybe you can take a trip to see her sooner in the fall?!)

I know I wouldn't want to be at a concert that far along.  But that's JMO.

ETA: On the other hand, if it were Green Day, I don't know if I'd feel like that.

If it's in the same town that you live in, I'd say go for it. That's a week before your DD, and you could go into labor a week early or a week late. Just make sure you have tickets for actual seats so you can sit down.

I would buy the tickets.  Worst case scenario, I would either sell or giveaway the tickets if I didn't feel like it.

At that point of your pregnancy, you may be begging for a distraction from wondering if every possible twitch or cramp is the start of labor.

I was wondering if I should get tickets to see her too, but she'll be around here in September and I was questioning if that was a good idea at that point in my pregnancy.  I'm not sure I'd want to be at a concert in December though, I think I would be just too uncomfortable.  It totally depends on the person and how much you really want to go I guess.
