December 2012 Moms

Morning sickness isn't making my life, or pregnancy very enjoyable.

It went away for a day and I thought I was home free! Not so much. The last two days have been horrible today. Had to go grocery shopping, not that I can even eat anything but because the love of my life still has too! It was horrible I ran to the bathroom at the supermarket over and over again. Do you know how gross you feel when you have to VOMIT in a PUBLIC TOILET. I was not okay with my face being that close to where hundreds of other peoples behinds were. EW. Today I haven't kept anything at all down, Not one sip of water. I've puked up tons of yellow bile. That's the worse. I had to have someone cover my workshift today because I've been so bad. I feel like it's never going to end. I'm only in my 9th week, I know it could still continue on for quite some time. I've lost 12 pounds since I found out I was pregnant and my doctor still won't see me until my appt, which is finally tomorrow morning. This post was basically just to vent since I haven't shared the news with anyone but my love and best friend and I just need someone to understand me!

  • If you're that sick and your doctor still won't see you I would consider seeing a different doctor.

Can you send him a message and see what his suggestions are?  While it's ok to lose some weight in the first tri, 12 pounds by 9 weeks is quite a bit.  And you run the risk of dehydration with the vomiting :(

  • unfortunately where I live we have no small doctor offices that do prenatal care. Only a few surrounding hospitals that are all 40 minutes away. I feel like because they're hospitals they don't give a crap about me at all, because they're seeing so many people. I already feel so neglected I'm not even excited for my appt tomorrow at this point.

  •  :(

I am so sorry. I would have definitly sent hubby to the store. Multiple times in one trip? That's awful!

Hopefully your doctor can give you something to help tomorrow but i would consider finding a new one too. Doesn't sound like they care too much.

Keep your eyes on the prize girl, it'll all be worth it! (I know not the best advice but it's true!)

  • I remember I went to the ER once when I was pregnant with my oldest in the first tri because I was dropping weight like crazy and couldn't keep anything at all down.

The sympathetic nurse told me "No one said this was gonna be easy, toughen up."  That was 8 years ago and I'd never go back.

It's so unfortunate there aren't more doctors in your area.  What about midwives?
