ER visit and a heartbeat!

The last few days were brutal, throwing up all day, so when I called in sick today, I figured I'd better go in and be seen to back up my story. I was dehydrated, got 2L of IV fluids and some zofran. Also got a rx for zofran, what a lifesaver. Best of all, they wanted to rule out twins so I got an ultrasound!! My first appt isn't for another 3 weeks, so this was a very happy ending. There is only one, and it has a great little heart beat in the 140s. It made it so real to see it, I hope I can pick up the heart beat on the Doppler soon. I'm not going to try til next week, but it's hard to be patient!

That's great news that you got to see the heartbeat early! I hope you're feeling better after your fluids and rx.

Thanks! I feel so much better already, just being able to eat supper was a godsend. I forgot to put in above, but the u/s dated me at exactly 7 weeks, so I really am due Christmas Eve, these could be some memorable holidays!
