chicco car seats + what stroller?

We already have chicco car seats and now need to figure out what to do about the double stroller. I went to BBB this weekend to see them all but didn't take notes and now am confused again...

What are the set up options on the double snap and go and the city select for example? Do chicco car seats have to be strapped in with an adapter strap or do they click in? Other stroller examples?

TIA!

Re: chicco car seats + what stroller?

  • We're using the Chicco seats with a DSNG for the first 5-6 months, then we'll move on to the BJCM GT when the boys can sit up.  There's a video on YouTube that shows you how to snap those particular car seats into the DSNG.

  • Same as above. Chicco has a double stroller that will fit the car seats, but only one seat fully reclines, so it wouldn't be good on its own until the babies are older. It's also big. I love the ease of the BJCM.

  • We have the Chicco seats and got the adapters to use them with our Baby Jogger City Select. We love it. So easy to push and turn.

  • We had the Chicco seats and used the DSNG for the first 6 months or so. It doesn't snap in, but does have a strap to hold the seat in. It's very easy to use and the DSNG is so light. I wish I could still use it!

I also used my Joovy Caboose stand on triple stroller, which has the attachment for two infant seats. This stroller is a lot heavier though, so I only used it when my 4 year old was with us (I use it more now that they are out of the infant seats). The DSNG is much easier to use (and it has great storage and I love the sturdy cup holders too).

  • I've used both the dsng and the city select and they both have pros/cons.The dsng is super fast to setup, and you can see both babies. However it's harder to push/steerThe city select takes a few extra steps to setup, and I hated how you couldn't easily see the baby in the back (unless you are like 6 feet tall). I wanted to see both of them all the time as a FTMHowever it's much easier to steer. So it depends how you will be using it.
