In a bubble...

Does anyone else feel like people expect you to live in a bubble while pregnant?  My sister (who doesn't know) went on tonight about how she can't believe that pregnant women would still eat X, Y, and Z (she was watching something on TV).  It seems like everyone has a laundry list of things that I shouldn't do that far exceeds the list of things that my OB cautioned me about.  I'm willing to make sacrifices for my little one, but I'm starting to feel a bit like I should be in a bubble.

Has your sister been pregnant before?  I feel like people who have not yet been pregnant really may not know much about what you can and can't do.  They just assume that many things are bad, when in reality, we know that you can pretty much carry on your regular daily life.  I definitely don't think you need to live in a bubble.  It will be a very long 9 months if you live like that!

Haha. I was at a family bday party today and joined in in the "balloon ball" game which is just like softball only with a much softer ball like a smaller version of a playground ball,  and my DH and in-laws ( the only ones there that know) were all way overly concerned. I find it sweet yet very annoying at the same time

Funny, no, she hasn't.  She's the type that's an authority on everything though, particularly how others should live their lives.
