(Question 1) If so, does she have a nickname? We love this name but saw on naming website a common NN is Cori. If people start calling her Cori it will rhyme with our last name. Might as well be Julia Guglia - boo! (Yes, I had to IMDB the spelling of that last name.)
I have a list of 10+ girl's names, but DH still only wants this name.
(Question 2) What are your thoughts - would you use it/not use it in this scenario?

I know 2 IRL. Neither has a nn. They each pronouce it differently. One is Cor-reen. The other is Cah-rin.
ETA: I'm not sure whether or not I'd use it in your situation. I'd probably try to convince DH of one of the other choices. But if he's set on it and you love it, too, then go for it.
i know an adult corrine no nn
i aslo know a corrina no nn
I know an adult Corrine.
I don't think that Cori is a "natural" nn, like Mike or Beth or Josh or something. I think if you call her Corrine, then others will follow suit. I love the name.

I know one adult and she has no NN. If you call her Corinne, I think people will follow.
I really like the name, too. It's on my very short list (maybe 3 names I have found that I like) but I do not like Cori as a NN.
I do not like Cori either. Don't hate it, but would never want to call her that, even if it didn't rhyme with our last name. Love Corinne too much not to call her that.
All of the feedback has been very helpful. The only other name DH will consider on our girl list is Kate, and although I love it, it's not nearly as pretty to me as Corinne. Thanks again to all.

I have a niece Corinne and I love it. She is only called Corinne (Core-inn) or Rinnie. It's not a nickname that anyone outside of family call her. She never gets cori and I wouldn't have thought of Cori for Corinne. (not sure why)
EDIT MY niece also gets Rin, Rinnie-roo, and any other rin-combination. I never knew any other little corinne who had the same nicknames! I found it interesting to see other little Corinne's with the same nicknames.
I knew a Corinne once. When I was younger my mom was essentially terminally ill with an autoimmune disorder, and she spent a lot of time in the hospital. She became friends with another frequent patient named Corinne. She also had kids and was very nice, so that name has many positive connotations to me.
I'd love to use it if we have another daughter, but we do have several girls names that we love. For a nickname I'd really want to avoid Cori, I'm not sure why other than I hate it when people end girls names with the letter i... I think Rin would be great.

I don't know any Corinnes IRL.
I love, love the name Corrine. I would use it.

This. I love he name Corinne.
I'm trying to convince DH to like Corinne as much as I do (he currently likes Elise > Corinne and I'm the other way around). It is beautiful name.
I've known two Corinne's in my life: one was a girl in my high school (same year as I was, blonde, Mormon) who went by Corinne and one is a colleague I've worked with (held up by gun point once, short, long curly blondish hair, sassy) who went by Corey.
I like the nn Cori but not in the context you are proposing (rhyming with your last name). If you decided to use Cora instead of Cori as a nn, would that make a difference?
Know a corinne, it's an older lady. No nn.
Its pretty but I didn't know how to pronounce it at first because she was the first I had met... It's pretty
Funny because we are considering Elise as a middle name. And probably no to Cora. I really don't want a nn at all, just trying to see if there were lots of Corinnes being called Cori. I know it's not a nn I would start.
All of this feedback has been very helpful; I feel better about using it now. Thanks everyone.
I'm a Corinne (Cor-een) and have always gone by Cori. As an adult, I've tried to switch to Corinne, but it only worked when I moved out of state. I hated having a "boy" name (Cori) as a kid, but don't mind it as an adult. People mispronounce my full name at first, but it doesn't take long to catch on to the correct pronunciation.
My name is Corinne. I pronounce it "cah-RINNE"
I love my name and would recommend it. I always get compliments on my name and I think it suited me as a kid and now as an adult.
I never had any nicknames other than "Kin" when my younger siblings as cousins couldn't pronounce my name. Also, a lot of teachers called me "CorEEN" and I had to correct them.
Pick it!!
(1) Yes, I know three, but they are all may age or older. Only one has a nickname, and it's Rinna.
(2) I would use it if you both like it. You never know what nickname other children will use for your children. I think nick-names should be allowed to develop naturally, not be forced upon them. If you wanted to name your child Bella, then name her Bella, rather than force the nickname from Isobel.
Also, Cori is not the only possible nickname for girls name Corinne. Cokie Roberts' real name is Corinne. And you could go with Rinna or even Coco.
