Cramps...Long

Thus far I have had only very mild symptoms.  Have twinges of this or pangs of that but they always seem to go away fairly quickly.  Today I woke up and had a "cramp" for lack of a better word very low and it just wouldn't go away.  I am a teacher and so staying off my feet is easier said than done and so I was going about my normal morning running around and this "cramp" just wouldn't go away. Thank goodness I have a morning plan. I spent my plan time trying to hydrate myself and resting in my nurses office.  This still didn't ease this cramp.  After resting for about an hour she told me that if it was her she'd call.  I have had no spotting and so I didn't want to be "that patient" who calls for nothing.  When the cramp didn't go away within another half hour I decided I wasn't going to feel better about all of this until I called.  Doctor said since I hadn't had an early ultrasound and we hadn't heard a fetal heart rate that she would feel best if we did one but she was sure it was nothing to worry about just ligament stretching. 

My ultrasound was scheduled for 2:45 but the office ultrasound tech was out so I had to go to an ultrsound place.  The lady was very cool towards DH and I and didn't really even include DH in the exam but we definiatly got to see "little sonic" and s/he measured right on track 9 weeks 1 day and had a heartrate of 167!  YAY!!!!  We go monday for my second ob appt. and will get to hear the heartbead (didn't hear it today).

Ok so how LO got the name sonic.....Was reading the interesting weekly facts to DH a few weeks ago and mentioned that LO no longer had a tail.  He goes "Oh he's sonic then..."  I said "What?!?!" he said "You know he's not tails anymore so he's Sonic"  from sonic the hedgehog videogames from back in the day...haha!  So LO has not affectionatly been named Sonic!!!

Glad to hear the u/s went well. I am a teacher too and trying to find time to consume water and stay off my feet is really hard!   Keep us informed with the goods news!

YAY for seeing a h/b!!  Our bodies do some weird things since they are changing so rapidly!  So glad everything was fine and I hope you don't have any more weird cramping!
