First u/s...

So I got to have my first appointment today, sort of.  Went in and had the u/s.  When the nurse met with us, she said I was measuring behind (by 11 days) which wasn't too crazy to me because I know I have a longer cycle.  They didn't end up doing any of the other first appointment stuff.  I have to go back in 2 weeks to repeat u/s and hopefully see good growth.  Even though I thought I would be moved back, for some reason this is making me way more nervous.  This two week wait is going to be hard!  (Not to mention going from 8w1d to 6w4d!)

I'm sure everything will be okay. You will have a long two weeks ahead of you, but try to relax and enjoy being pregnant. Unless something goes wrong, don't assume something is wrong (that's what I keep telling myself when I get anxious on what-ifs).

Eeesh.  I'm sorry you have to move back almost 2 weeks.  What a bummer.  But you saw the little bean and all looked good?  That's all that matters!  Did you get to see a heartbeat?

This is exactly why I counted from my ovulation date, and not my LMP.

That is true.  And she did say everything looked perfect for the way I was measuring, it just wasn't matching  up with LMP.  I sort of expected them to say I was only 7 weeks, so 6w4d is not too far off.  My crazy brain, though, seems to want to read too much into it!

Yes!  We did see the little bean and a heartbeat!  (Though I had to hold my breath a few times for the little bugger to stay still enough for her to get a good heartbeat reading!)

I had to hold my breath too during my u/s!  We were able to see it, it was there, but not sure if she was really able to catch a decent reading!

I'm sorry your appt didn't go as planned.  The most important thing is that your baby looked healthy!  :-)

Yep, we went back a week today - doesn't it feel a bit like you just got sent to the back of the class line? I also have to go back and do all the other stuff, because after the u/s my midwife had to leave to go deliver a baby - so I wait 5 weeks for all the other preliminaries. Good luck to you - you're now a day ahead of me.
